Ok so we’ll admit, any lazy Sunday spent curled up on the couch binge-watching Harry Potter is a Sunday well spent. There’s something exciting about transporting yourself into a mythical world where you can sleep in a castle, use wands to make things appear out of thin air and only get to it by a hidden train platform.
Yes, the fantasy world is quite fun but truth be told reality can be just as exciting. Travel holds such an eclectic and symbolic meaning to so many different people. Some travel the entire globe, immersing themselves in foreign cultures and traditions. For others, a simple drive just outside their immediate backyard will offer a breathe of fresh air and excitement.
There is no right or wrong way to travel (unless your taking a leisurely weekend somewhere and pack for a 10 day exotic getaway)…seriously, all you need is a destination. A place in mind that will transport you from your day-to-day normalcy; a place that sparks a bit of magic in you.
Sure, you can live like Harry Potter and hop a train to a place unknown and if you sit long enough something is bound to appear or disappear around you. A friend once told me that I should take time each day to close my eyes for a few minutes and focus on a place I’d like to be. Have you ever done that? It’s pretty cool. Not only is it a great form of Meditation but also motivation. Is it a place you have been to? A place you want to go? Now is the time or how do they say, “There’s no time like the present?”
Truly, all you need is a destination and how you get there is up to you.
